Meet computer science student, Hy Truong Son

Hy Truong Son was born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam. He has a BSc in computer science from Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest, Hungary. He is now in his fourth year of pursuing a PhD in computer science at the University of Chicago and is researching machine learning applications and chemical problems.

Meet Kartik Singhal, computer science student

Kartik Singhal was born and raised in Ghaziabad, India. He holds a bachelor of technology in computer science and engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut and a master of science in computer science from Brown University. He also worked as a software engineer at Oracle India. He is now pursuing a doctorate in computer science at the University of Chicago.

Meet James Callahan

James Callahan’s hometown is Boston, Massachusetts. He completed a BA in chemistry and physics at Harvard University and then taught high school physics for two years on the North Shore of Boston. Most recently, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at Harvard. He’s now in his second year of pursuing a PhD at the University of Chicago in chemistry.
