Associate Professor, Suri Vaikuntanathan was recently awarded the 2023 Early Career Award in Theoretical Chemistry by the Physical Chemistry Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS).

The award was created as a way to highlight Physical Chemistry Division members who are in the first ten years of their careers as independent researchers and have made "outstanding contributions in experimental physical chemistry.” Vaikuntanathan is being recognized “for the development of powerful non-equilibrium statistical mechanical theories to understand the behavior of complex matter ranging from driven systems to biological self-assembly.”

Vaikuntanathan will be presented with the award at the Fall 2023 ACS Meeting in an Awards Symposium organized by the Physical Chemistry Division.
