People can come to me for…
questions about budgeting and financial planning. I work closely with PSD’s leadership and departments to develop strategies for managing PSD’s budget and optimizing resources to support our mission.
What do you enjoy about being a part of the PSD community?
So far, I have only been with PSD for a month, but I appreciate the strong sense of collaboration and shared commitment to make a positive impact.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am originally from Bosnia, and I immigrated to the US when I was a teenager. I lived in Michigan until I graduated from college. Now I live in Kenwood with my wife and our three-year-old twins. I am very family-oriented and love spending time with family and friends.
Who inspires you?
My parents, without question. Their resilience and determination starting over from nothing after the war and creating a successful life in the US inspires me every day.
What does diversity and inclusion mean to you?
Creating a space where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives.
What three words best describe you?
Personable, loyal, and community-oriented.
Do you have pets, and if so, what are their names?
I have a 5-year-old Goldendoodle, and his name is Chicago.
What is your favorite restaurant in Chicago?
My favorite restaurant is Aba. I have only been there once, but the food was incredible, and I am eager to go back.
What hobby do you spend the most time on?
Right now, chasing after two 3-year-old boys takes up most of my time. Between work and family, my time for hobbies is limited, but I do love to volunteer when time permits.
What do you want to do when you retire?
I would like to travel more and eventually live in Lisbon/Bosnia/Croatia for part of the year.
