Background
As Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Aleks reports to the Dean of Students, leading student-related initiatives and activities in the Division with the goal of continuing to develop an inclusive climate for our graduate students and strategies to increase the diversity of our applicants across all programs. She also works with David Schmitz, Deputy Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, on initiatives to support diversity and inclusion efforts impacting staff, postdocs, faculty, and other academic appointees.
