Learn about climate change and its impacts as explained in plain language, develop an understanding of climate systems engineering as a solution to climate change problems, and discover how open science can help advance climate research and education about climate change.
Sessions and Speakers:
- 9:15-10:15 am: A presentation by Professor Tiffany Shaw (Department of Geophysical Sciences, UChicago) to dispel misinformation about climate change
- 10:25-11:25 am: A fireside chat about climate systems engineering, with Vice Provost for Research Erin Adams (UChicago) and Professor David Keith (Department of Geophysical Sciences, UChicago)
- 11:35 am-12:35 pm: A panel discussion on research and open science, with Erin Adams as the moderator and contributions from David Keith, Tiffany Shaw, and Rachael Kotarski (UChicago Library)
Attendees may come for the full program or individual session(s). There will be time for a moderated Q&A with the audience in each session.
