William Eckhardt Research Center (ERC), Atrium 5640 S Ellis Ave, Chicago, IL 60637
Join us for the opening of an exhibition of playful portraits of internationally renowned scientists by renowned German photographer Herlinde Koelbl. UChicago science leadership and the Consul General of Germany will give brief remarks, followed by a reception with light refreshments.
For this project, Koelbl interviewed and took portraits of 60 of the world’s leading scientists and asked them to draw the essence of their research on their hand. The portraits will be exhibited in the atrium of the William Eckhardt Research Center through April 15, 2024.
This exhibition is brought to UChicago by the Consulate General of Germany in Chicago and is co-hosted by the Physical Sciences Division and the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering.
