The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) in the Physical Sciences Division aims to build a supportive climate across faculty & OAA, staff, postdoc, and student ranks. We collaborate with units and partners to create and implement tailored plans, programs, and activities. We invite you to connect with us as we continue to build on the existing D&I foundation.
Mission
We work with all PSD units to advance discovery, innovation, and impact by building and supporting a diverse and inclusive climate where each person's ideas and contributions can flourish. Additionally, the PSD aims to create a sustainable infrastructure that supports all groups in the physical sciences, promoting a climate where diversity and inclusion are foundational and all constituents achieve their version of success.
Vision
The Physical Sciences Division at the University of Chicago aspires to be at the forefront of diversity and inclusion practices in the physical and mathematical sciences, recognizing that diversity of thought and experience fortifies and strengthens our capacity to advance human knowledge.
