Human Resources Generalists provide professional support to a unit's staff/management by assisting in identifying resources for professional development, guiding annual performance evaluation and goal setting, and supporting employee/labor relation efforts (e.g. disciplinary warnings, performance improvement processes, and employee termination). Human Resource Generalists support staff, student, and academic hiring processes in Workday by developing job descriptions, interviewing, running candidate reference checks, generating approved employment offers, and conducting Workday onboarding.
Susan is the main point of contact for all HR-related matters for the non-academic units in PSD (LBC, IT, Graphic Arts, Facilities, HR and Dean of Students). She is the Divisional Workday liaison with the Provost’s office for academic appointments. Susan also manages the Postdoc appointments for the PSD.
