Please note: attendance at the University-wide Convocation ceremony is encouraged but not required.

Required Attire
You must wear full academic regalia to any ceremony you attend. For MS students in the PSD, this consists of the Master's robe, cap, and tassel. MS degree candidates do not wear hoods. Stoles are permitted and optional. If you still need to obtain regalia, please do so right away at the University Bookstore.
What to Bring
- Full academic regalia
- UChicago Student ID card (will make check-in more efficient)
No personal items will be allowed in the procession. We encourage you to bring a minimum number of items and leave whatever you can with your guests.
Diploma Pick-Up (Spring 23 graduates)
Students graduating in Spring Quarter 2023 will be able to pick up their diplomas on Saturday, June 3 from 1:30 - 2:30 pm at the Logan Center for the Arts (915 East 60th Street). To pick up your diploma, you must bring your University of Chicago Student ID card. We cannot accept other identification for diploma pick-up. Diplomas that are not picked up on Saturday will be mailed to the diploma mailing address you provided in your application to graduate.

Convocation cAlert
Graduates and guests are welcome to sign up for UChicago’s cAlert system. The cAlert system is the University’s electronic emergency mass notification system, which enables University officials to provide notification and informational updates to enrollees prior to, during, or after an emergency.
Convocation attendees can enroll in cAlert by texting "UChicagoConvo2023" to 226787 to receive SMS text message emergency alerts from the University of Chicago Department of Safety and Security. Following Convocation, all who signed up to receive cAlerts can text "stop" to 226787 to be removed from the system.
