National Coming Out Day Seminar

Friday, October 16, 4-5 PM

In celebration of National Coming Out Day and LGBTQ+ History Month, GRIT's LQBTQ+ Team is honored to (virtually) welcome Dr. Lauren Esposito, Schlinger Curator of Arachnology, California Academy of Sciences, and creator of 500 Queer Scientists. Dr. Esposito will give a talk entitled “Queering STEM—the Importance of LGBTQAI+ Visibility” followed by a Q&A.

500 Queer Scientists is a visibility campaign for LGBTQ+ people in STEM which aims to “ensure the next STEM generation has LGBTQ+ role models; help the current generation recognize they’re not alone; create opportunities for community connections and greater visibility within STEM.”
